Vision
Coaching is a help relationship by a coach developed with non-clinical population, guided by professional and personal development objectives of individuals, teams, organisations and families, focused on solutions and results that contribute to the higher levels of accomplishment and well-being.
While dealing with people we are helping them to change attitudes and behaviours, Coaching is a psychological act and an advanced specialisation of Psychology, whose intervention must be obviously guaranteed by specialised psychologists.
Mission
Our goal is to create a worldwide community of IACP certified Coach Psychologists who are committed to the development and consolidation of Coaching as a multimodal aid relationship, anchored in theories, models and techniques of Psychology.
The possibility of this transcultural approach to coaching will bring unique wealth to coach psychologists that are members of IACP it will be achieved by sharing knowledge and experience and articulating research development in psychological coaching, and essential support for the evolution of this advanced specialty of psychology.
Due to the appealing and very trendy buzzword of Coaching, it is our duty to inform potential coaching users of the risks inherent in hiring this service among untrained people in psychology, appropriately complemented by post graduate training in coaching, supervision and certification.
IACP certification programmes will ensure that potential stakeholders in coaching services are giving access to competent and properly qualified professionals to practice this aid relationship.
